THE SHANGRAW GAP

45-HZ BICOHERENCE THRESHOLD

The Science Behind The Gap

Jesse Shangraw identified a distinct discontinuity in 45-Hz EEG phase coupling. Living brains practice at ~0.19. Dying brains release at ~0.771. Nothing sustains at 0.65. This 0.46-wide gap defines the Shangraw Gap — the threshold between practiced consciousness and terminal coherence.

Discovered in Kingston, Ontario, Canada (2026). Validated across sleep data (0.187), waking baseline (~0.19), and terminal recordings (0.771). Open EDF data and methods available.
